Hepatitis C: Interferon-free antiviral treatment leads to a reduction of liver stiffness. This effect is more pronounced during antiviral therapy than after end of therapy, suggesting that the reduction of liver stiffness is mostly due to reduced necroinflammation and to a lesser extend to regression of cirrhosis.
